Information on ADA Cases in Regards to Inmates with Disabilities

A number of people requested more information on the handling of disabled individuals within our prison systems.

While these aren't the norm, they are all legal claims made by inmates who felt their Eighth Amendments Rights were being ignored.

While I believe in the mechanics of our judicial system, I also believe every person with a disability has the right to the security of their individual rights under the ADA, incarcerated or not.

It's important to note that the ADA does not apply to federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Prisons and some of these cases were decided solely in that regard.

Because it's a ten page document I've given it a page of its own. You can find it here: http://eighthamendmentandadaclaims.blogspot.com/
